SUNDAY JUNE 21 - GO SKATEBOARDING
"I don't care what you look like. I don't care where you came from. When we put our skateboards down, we're together." - Evan Smith
Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) is a global celebration of the culture of skateboarding, bringing the Worldwide community together on a single day to hit the street and roll together in peace. In a year that has been defined by a global pandemic and civil unrest, GSD is as important as ever so, this Sunday, June 21, get out there and go skateboarding.
Why celebrate skateboarding? Why wouldn’t you... Skateboarding by its very nature is about freedom and creativity; breaking norms; bringing change; doing what you want, when you want - no matter where you're from or, how much money you have. Its a community without borders. Since the late 1960s, skateboarders have been breaking barriers, bones, boards and, when required, throwing a big bird to the establishment.
To help inspire your day on the board, DC Shoes are dropping a Go Skateboarding edit on June 21, from 8 am pacific time right here. Check it out and then, go skate. No excuses.
